As Portland's first biodiesel manufacturer, we will collect our communities' used vegetable oil and return it as a "green" renewable fuel. With the goal of zero environmental impact, virtually all manufactured products will be recycled in our closed loop system, and will be used to heat and power our processing facility.

Positive Change
At Maine Standard Biofuels, we believe the current fuel crisis will affect us for many years to come. Relying on foreign oil is not the answer.
By embracing bio-energy through a recycled product, energy independence is within our reach. We will also be one step closer to having clean air and water by reducing hazardous pollution.
During the last century, used vegetable oil was collected, left the state of Maine and was sold for profit as a commodity, or just thrown out as trash. All of us now have the power to change that.
